Past events: F8

Thank you to the amazing Jin Camou and Lucy Yim for their performance today and to their sound artist Alissa Reed. It was a very beautiful time. This event was curated by Emma Lipp.

We are so happy to now be carrying the beautiful publication Pública. Printed locally and bounded by hand by Mariano Spina, the current issue focuses on the drawings and photography of Luke Vera. (Unwork Inc, $22)

"Erratic publication with the intention of sharing stories, ideas & visual narratives in a printed manner. Each copy is printed & bounded by hand.... Publicación errática cuya intención es la de propagar ideas y perspectivas que alivien la delicada e infatigable tarea de iluminar el sentido común de nuestra especie. Diseñada, impresa y compaginada a mano, una por una, como empanada'e dulce."

Sarah Gottesdiener review/interview

Richard Schemmerer interviewed Gottesdiener yesterday about her current exhibit at Nationale, Neigher Higher Nor Lower.
Read his review HERE.
I must add that with a show like Sarah's, it's wonderful when the viewer really takes the time to be with the work and has the curiosity to explore even what we are not showing here. Schemmerer understood right away what Gottesdiener had experienced working on this exhibit besides just making "art", and that is quite refreshing.
